Wasn't really expecting you to add it, so that sounds good to me :)

I'm very happy with how far STE has come so far, but there is still some room for improvement (the 'preview' feature comes to mind first).

Wow, that has really come on since I last looked at it. I think a direct link wouldn't be right but if there was a "useful links" or "getting started" page with it on, I wouldn't be adversed to that.

Well, every now and then I check if there are any news on the Wikidot blog. So it would be nice to have it there.

Done, update should be automatically pushed soon.

But since you have over 2000 downloads, it might be good to ask what the others think.

Thanks :)

By the way, if there's anything you'd like added to the menu, then just let me know.

I see. Now make sure to have an extra relaxing weekend after you've over exhausted yourself so badly :)

No probs. See here for an explanation of all the hard work that went into it.

Re: Firefox 4 by wstonewstone, 25 Mar 2011 09:47

Oh it took me hours, in fact I'm surprised I'm still able to type:

I went to Mozilla Addons…. raised the max compatible FFX version to 4….

:D

by wstonewstone, 25 Mar 2011 09:44

Done :)

That was quick, thanks! And works fine as well.

What did you have to do to get it working in Firefox 4 (what was broken?)

2337 downloads… nice!

Version 1.0 is not compatible with Firefox 4. Could you update it?

…I always use your Wikidot Toolbar Button, but now with Firefox 4 I can't anymore which is a shame.

Toolbox will be changing soon so that each addon has it's own page (as well as the current forums).

The page on Firefox's site makes the most sense.

Done.

I could whip up a quick tutorial with some screen shots if you want to post something here too.

Toolbox will be changing soon so that each addon has it's own page (as well as the current forums). This would be an ideal part for the page. You are welcome to make a tutorial, post it here and then when the new style of Toolbox arrives we can move it to this addon's page.

I know a way to do this using bookmarks and javascript. Will that help?

It certainly would. You are also welcome to download the addon, play around with it and post here (you'll need to be a member of the site) any versions of the addon that you concoct.

OK, that makes sense, but you should document how to find the toolbar once it's downloaded and installed. The page on Firefox's site makes the most sense.

I'd still like to see a way that we can add our own links.

One more idea… It would be really, really cool if we could store little snippets of Wikidot syntax and use a link on your toolbar to insert them into the Wikidot editor. I keep a text file of things I use regularly, but it would be cool if we could pluck them from the Wikidot toolbar and paste them in.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay past my knowledge of firefox addons. But if anybody is able to add these functions then please let me know.
